Value Creation
Private business has a significant impact on the economy, their communities and employees. As a serial entrepreneur, Charity has built, grown and successfully exited her own ventures. Her 20-plus year digital technology career has focused on assisting media and early-stage companies in identifying and executing go-to-market strategies that have successfully grown their revenues and market influence. Highly regarded in the ad tech and niche media industries, Charity has developed a keen sense of how to leverage the disruption of an industry, market or competitor to create new opportunities for growth and increase company value.
Rooted in Digital Media
A graduate of the Murrow College of Communication of Washington State University, Charity has built her career in media, advertising and marketing. Through her long-term tenure as a consultant, she has served in numerous roles with Hearst, The McClatchy Company, Lee Enterprises, Clarity Media, Digital First Media, Dow Jones (News Corp) and several Press Associations across the United States.
Charity co-founded Tru Measure in 2009, building an advertising analytics platform used by the majority of the US publisher market, digital ad agencies and ad-tech platforms in the U.S., Europe, Australia, and Central America. The business was acquired by The McClatchy Company in 2013.
She launched January Spring in 2017 as the go-to digital transformation partner for niche media publishers. Based in Denver with a North American reach, January Spring serves 180 publishers of all shapes and sizes. The team reduces the risk of building out the digital ad agency services that are needed by today’s publishers.

Changing the Landscape
Coming of age when she was many times the only woman in the room, Charity strives to lift up and provide opportunity for others. Diversity in the workplace, in the boardroom and through investment has proven to deliver better results for companies and their shareholders. This is part of Charity’s philosophy when it comes to how she builds her businesses, where she gives her time and where she makes her investments.

Denver is Home
A quasi-native, Charity has lived in Denver for more than 25 years. She is active in her local community including her involvement with the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation’s ProStart, an industry-backed culinary arts and restaurant management program for high school students; as well as the Women’s Investor Network (WIN), an initiative of the Rockies Venture Club that empowers women angel investors by demystifying early-stage investing through education, leadership, and support. Charity enjoys the arts, travel and spending time with her husband of 26 years, Brian, and their grown children, Trenton and Sarah. And, because you cannot be a true Coloradan without a dog, she has a spoiled mini-dachshund, Polly.
